What Draconic is
What Draconic is
Draconic is an AI trading intelligence platform that synthesizes real-time market data into a single conversational interface for active traders. Where standard charting tools and broker platforms display raw data across fragmented panels, Draconic pulls together 200+ market data sources into one coherent conversation, letting a trader ask questions in natural language instead of manually searching through dozens of separate indicators.
A freemium model lets people try core functionality for free, while a paid subscription unlocks deeper access to the full set of 200+ integrated data sources and presumably more advanced analytical features. Being online-only suggests concentrating resources on the depth of web functionality suited to the demanding, technical user that an active trader is.
A conversational interface instead of traditional, fragmented panels is a fundamental shift in how market data gets consumed — instead of switching between dozens of tabs and indicators, a trader asks a direct question about a specific market situation and gets a synthesis based on every available source at once, which significantly shortens the time needed to make an investment decision.
An active trader using Draconic for daily market analysis before a trading session, asking about specific stocks or sectors and getting instant syntheses of data from 200+ sources, gradually notices recurring market patterns or signals that precede certain price movements. Without saving those observations outside the platform itself, it's hard to build a coherent, long-term investment strategy based on genuinely observed rather than merely intuitively sensed patterns.
SumizAI complements Draconic exactly at that point: key conclusions from daily analytical sessions with Draconic can be saved as ai notes in a local Markdown file, building a personal journal of investment decisions and market observations. A trader tracking many different sectors at once ends up with ai notes per sector or strategy, ready to recall when assessing the effectiveness of their own decisions a quarter or a year later.
These tools complement each other: Draconic delivers instant, conversational synthesis of market data from 200+ sources, while SumizAI ensures the conclusions and decisions made based on those analyses survive as ai notes building an increasingly mature, documented investment strategy over time, instead of scattering into the fleeting memory of daily trading sessions.
It's worth stressing that in trading, retrospective analysis of one's own decisions matters just as much as current market analysis itself — a trader who regularly revisits their ai notes and confronts earlier forecasts with how the market situation actually unfolded systematically improves the quality of their future decisions, something that can't be achieved by relying solely on the fleeting conversation history inside the Draconic platform itself.
A trader managing their own investment portfolio across several unrelated asset classes at once — stocks, crypto, and commodities — using Draconic to analyze each of those classes daily, especially benefits from keeping a separate these notes for each one, since the factors driving price movements in those markets can differ dramatically, and mixing observations from different asset classes in one place leads to flawed conclusions mechanically carried over from one market to another. After a year of systematically keeping such notes, a trader has a documented history of their own forecasting accuracy in each asset class individually, letting them decide deliberately which markets are worth more time and capital and which are better scaled back, based on real rather than assumed results.

What SumizAI is
A note-taking application built around a conversation with an AI model. You ask a question, the answer streams back, and the answers worth keeping become Markdown notes — filed into a vault that is a folder on your own disk.
A vault is a directory holding base.md, a generated table of contents up to six levels deep, and a notes/ folder with one .md file per note. Before a note is written it is checked against the ones already there, so the fourth note about the same idea gets merged instead of added. Links between notes are ordinary Markdown links to files that exist.
The model is never ours: you bring your own API key to one of seven providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, a local Ollama or your own server — and pay that provider directly. A question sends the table of contents plus at most five relevant notes within a 24,000-character budget, and the app shows you which five it used.
Every answer kept this way becomes one of these ai notes, ready to search again months later without hunting back through old chats.

Where they differ
- Draconic is a place to have the conversation. SumizAI is not a chatbot — the conversation is the input, not the product. What comes out of it is a
.mdfile with a title, a place inbase.mdand a duplicate check against the notes already in the vault. If you only want to talk to a model, you do not need SumizAI. - Draconic is freemium: there is a free tier and a paid one, and the line between them is the thing to read before committing. SumizAI has one plan at a dollar a month, so there is no feature held back for a higher tier — and an unpaid account still opens and exports every vault it already has.
- AlternativeTo's description of Draconic does not mention Markdown, so check what format your notes end up in before you fill it up. SumizAI writes standard
.mdfiles to a folder you picked, and an unpaid account can still export all of them. - Draconic is described as something more than one person uses at once. SumizAI is not: there are no shared vaults, no comments, no permissions and no sync between devices. If the work is a team's, that is a reason to pick Draconic over SumizAI.
- Draconic runs in the browser. SumizAI is a desktop and mobile application, and on the desktop the vault is a folder on your own disk rather than a document in someone's cloud.
Which one to pick
Reasons to pick Draconic
- more than one person works in the same notes
- you need it to run in a browser
Reasons to pick SumizAI
- the notes you want already exist inside conversations with an AI model
- you want the filing — title, chapter, duplicate check — to happen without you
- you want the result as plain
.mdfiles in a folder you picked - you would rather pay your AI provider directly than have a note app resell the model
