What FloHub is

FloHub is an Australian "all-in-one" productivity platform combining tasks, calendar, notes, and habits in one unified daily view, guided by a companion named FloCat — a smart, slightly sassy AI sidekick. Instead of juggling several separate apps for different aspects of daily organization, FloHub consolidates them into one place.

Key features include subtasks, due dates, recurring tasks, and quick daily prioritization, meeting notes with AI-generated summaries, daily journaling with mood and sleep tracking, and a goal system broken into milestones with automatic progress tracking.

Meeting notes with automatic AI summarization address a specific, widespread problem — after an hour-long team meeting, few people have time to manually extract the key takeaways from raw notes; an automatic summary shortens that process to reviewing a ready breakdown of the most important points and assigned tasks, turning sprawling ai notes content into a concise summary ready to share with the team.

The pricing model is unusually generous for this category: the web app is free forever with all core features, while the native app (with offline access, push notifications, faster performance, and deeper device integration) unlocks the full premium experience after a 30-day free trial with no commitment.

The stated target audience — "not enterprise teams, people who want calm, not complexity" — clearly positions FloHub against elaborate enterprise tools like Asana or Monday.com, aiming instead at individuals and small teams overwhelmed by feature overload in bigger platforms.

Tracking mood and sleep alongside work tasks is a holistic approach, recognizing that productivity depends on physical and mental well-being, not just a list of tasks to check off — a trend also visible in other tools in this category (like LumifyHub, mentioned earlier), blending task management with self-care elements.

For freelancers running many small projects at once, a unified daily view combining tasks, client meeting notes, and a personal journal removes the need to switch between a project-management app, a separate AI notepad for private thoughts, and a separate ai notes archive of client decisions.

Compared to more specialized tools (a standalone habit tracker, a standalone ai notes system, a standalone calendar), FloHub offers the convenience of consolidation at the cost of depth in any single function — a trade-off typical of the whole "all-in-one" platform category, not unique to this particular product.

For people keeping a daily journal alongside a task list, FloHub removes the need to switch between two separate apps morning and evening — one daily view shows both what needs doing and space for reflecting on how the day actually went, which is more convenient than a separate AI notepad for one purpose and a separate calendar for the other.

In short, FloHub is an accessible, generously priced (free web app forever) Australian productivity platform combining tasks, notes, and well-being in one place — a good option for individuals wanting calm instead of enterprise-tool complexity, though it won't replace a dedicated, deep these notes system.

What SumizAI is

A note-taking application built around a conversation with an AI model. You ask a question, the answer streams back, and the answers worth keeping become Markdown notes — filed into a vault that is a folder on your own disk.

A vault is a directory holding base.md, a generated table of contents up to six levels deep, and a notes/ folder with one .md file per note. Before a note is written it is checked against the ones already there, so the fourth note about the same idea gets merged instead of added. Links between notes are ordinary Markdown links to files that exist.

The model is never ours: you bring your own API key to one of seven providers — Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, a local Ollama or your own server — and pay that provider directly. A question sends the table of contents plus at most five relevant notes within a 24,000-character budget, and the app shows you which five it used.

Every answer kept this way becomes one of these ai notes, ready to search again months later without hunting back through old chats.

Where they differ

  • Both mention AI. The difference is whose key it runs on: SumizAI never resells inference — you connect one of seven providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, a local Ollama or your own server) with your own API key and pay that provider directly. Check what FloHub does with the model bill before comparing prices.
  • FloHub is free and SumizAI costs a dollar a month after a seven-day trial that takes no card. A dollar is what it costs to run accounts and licences without reselling the model; if free is the requirement, FloHub wins that row outright.
  • AlternativeTo's description of FloHub does not mention Markdown, so check what format your notes end up in before you fill it up. SumizAI writes standard .md files to a folder you picked, and an unpaid account can still export all of them.
  • FloHub also does tasks. SumizAI does not — no boards, no due dates, no projects. It files knowledge, not work.
  • FloHub runs in the browser. SumizAI is a desktop and mobile application, and on the desktop the vault is a folder on your own disk rather than a document in someone's cloud.

Which one to pick

Reasons to pick FloHub

  • it costs nothing
  • you want tasks and notes in one place
  • you need it to run in a browser

Reasons to pick SumizAI

  • the notes you want already exist inside conversations with an AI model
  • you want the filing — title, chapter, duplicate check — to happen without you
  • you want the result as plain .md files in a folder you picked
  • you would rather pay your AI provider directly than have a note app resell the model
